Congratulations to Fermanagh's superstar rider Lee Johnson, not only is the very talented teenager a British Champion but he is also the 2008 winner of the prestigious Bertie Mann Award. Lee who won this year British Superstock 600 Championship is also a previous winner of the much coverted Stanley Woods Award and a former Mini Moto Champion. |

Cummins quickens his pace to grab pole position |

Source: http://www.macau.grandprix.gov.mo/app/home/gp55/en Conor Cummins, the 22-year-old Manx road racer, grabbed pole position for the 42nd running of the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix with a blistering record qualifying lap in the closing stages of the second and deciding timed session at the Far East Classic today.
Cummins, on the Team of Paris AIM Racing Yamaha 1000, at only his second appearance at the event, chopped over four seconds off his best lap time in Thursday’s opening qualifying session to grab pole position for the 15-lap race, slicing just under a tenth of a second off the existing record. |
